Dr. Lucretia Starnes is a distinguished expert with strong business acumen skills in education and various professional fields.

She was a military spouse who demonstrated success in leadership roles and industry expertise advancing innovation, growth and transformation for varied companies, educational and non-profit institutions and organizations throughout the years. To be successful in her personal life and business career, Dr. Starnes acquired extensive knowledge from formal education and corporate training. She honed her skills through facilitating professional development trainings and workshops, and  by being adaptable across multiple environments.

In 2021, Dr. Starnes was awarded the Leadership Excellence Award for the College of Management and Technology. Followed by the university’s most prestigious award bestowed on a student, Walden’s Overall Leadership Excellence Award.

Dr. Lucretia Starnes earned her Bachelor in English and Secondary Education with a minor in Pan African Studies from University of Louisville. She received her Doctorate of Business Administration with a concentration in employee engagement and performance from Walden University.

Two Master’s degrees from Campbellsville University in Special Education and Organizational Leadership.

Other degrees and certifications include: Allied Healthcare Management, Medical & Dental Coding & Billing, IEP Facilitation, Toyota Production Systems, Ford Production Management & Delivery System, and I-Beam Supply System.

Dr. Starnes has served as President for Walden University’s Divine Nine Alliance International Student Organization, Ethnic Minority Director for the state of Kentucky’s Teachers Union, President of Habitat for Humanity, Special Education Department Chair, Member of School Based Decision-Making Committee, School Leadership Teams, Member of Board of Directors for getCare Health Network, and numerous other capacities for profit and not-for-profit organizations.
